Mac and Teese

Are you like me and loved that macaroni and cheese that came from the box as a kid? I swear since the first day I went vegan I’ve been trying to recreate that taste at least once a week in my own kitchen.

Thank goodness for Teese Creamy Style cheddar sauce! This stuff mixed with noodles is spot on with the extra classy Velveeta boxed mac and cheese my mom would only let us have on special occasions.

Here are the details –
Boil your favorite pasta noodles. Drain them. While they are steaming in the colander I squeeze about half a tube of Creamy Style Teese into the same pan I cooked the noodles in. Heat till smooth and add back the pasta. Could it be easier? Well, maybe you could make it more complicated (and complete) by adding fresh or frozen veggies, burger crumbles, etc, but most nights I like it straight up. Here’s to comfort food on these cold winter nights!

This looks delicious. I am not vegan, although, I have thought about it a lot lately. I just discovered my daughters both have dairy allergies, so I am looking for other options rather than cheese containing dairy. I wish there was a store near us that carries this cheese.

Michelle, you can always order it online via veganessentials.com or cosmosveganshoppe.com.

I just discovered that our local Whole Foods carries Teese, even though it’s not listed on this website. Maybe that’s an option for you? I was very excited to have found it!
